Yes, you heard us right, we’re going to throw our musical hats in for the 2024 Road to Memphis Local Blues Challenge at The Overflow hosted by The Ottawa Blues Society.

There are 3 bands in the challenge and the winner gets to participate in the world renowned “International Blues Challenge” held in Memphis TN in January 2025.

Pretty sweet deal eh? So this means that all of the bands will be bringing their super A game material and putting on the most killer 25 minute set they can. You won’t want to miss this exceptional night of all out blues, so get your tickets while you can.

General public – $10 

Doors open at 6 P.M.

* Redneck Limousine will kick off the evening from 7-8 P.M. The challenge will start @ 8:30.

To celebrate Women’s History Month, The Music Performance Trust Fund will be hosting a Livestream concert of the AHT at Gigspace on Saturday March 9th from 8-9pm.

This FREE concert is put together in concordance with the Musician’s Association of Ottawa-Gatineau and the Canadian Foundation of Musicians.

It has been an absolutely unforgettable few days. Angie’s featured performance at the Maple Blues Awards alongside Matt Anderson, Crystal Shawanda, the Blackburn Brothers, Brandon Isaak, and Quisha Wint was a true highlight. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees!

It was great to reconnect with old friends and make so many new ones throughout the Summit. The days started early with panels, rolled into showcasing artists who all brought their A-game, and each night was capped off with an after-party. We can’t wait for the next summit!

Thank you to the Toronto Blues Society, most notably Derek Andrews, Lucie DuFault, and Manny DeGrandis. We recognize and applaud all of the hard work you’ve put in to this event and your overall contribution to the Canadian music scene. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
